Even if a hacker obtains a user's email and password through a phishing attack or malware, MFA adds an extra layer of security.

Xero Verify is a simple app that allows users to sign in to their Xero account using push notifications on their device. Users can receive push notifications for fast authentication, eliminating the need to open the app and enter a code into Xero when logging in. The app generates six-digit verification codes, even if the user doesn't have a network or mobile connection. Xero Verify can only be used to authenticate Xero accounts and cannot be used on other products outside Xero.

To use Xero Verify, users need to set up the app using a QR code. The app requires permission to access the camera to add accounts using QR codes.
